British Kindergarten
The British Kindergarten offers a play-based learning environment for children aged 3 to 6 years.
At the Ada Bolchini dell’Acqua Institute, you can find your English-language preschool in Milan.
At the British Kindergarten, children are engaged in individual learning experiences as well as activities that promote interaction with others, all of which are part of the play-based EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum currently taught in all preschool settings in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The EYFS Curriculum
Each area of the EYFS is of great importance in promoting the child’s individual development and learning abilities, supporting them through the natural stages of their development.
All learning areas share the common denominator of inquiry: your child will be able to bring their own ideas into the learning process and will work with the help and guidance of educators to find answers, solve problems creatively, and test their thinking.
EYFS Principles
- Each child’s learning is based on their interests and strengths;
- Educators observe and record the child’s educational journey;
- Parents receive feedback on the proposed experiences;
- Free flow: learning objectives are calibrated to the child’s journey.
- The curriculum includes creating the child’s educational story with a personal portfolio and related observations.
